To commemorate the 10th International Yoga Day, Shobha is planning another session on the WWFM green for world peace and harmony 🙏
Join us 9-10am, bring a mat or water if you need. If there is rain, Shobha will move the session to the nearby park shelter (come by the Info Tent if you need directions).
Benefits of practicing yoga include:
Improved muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina.
Reduced stress and tension.
Boosts to self esteem.
Improved concentration and creativity.
Creating sense of well being and calm.
Shobha says,
”I teach to share the amazing benefits of yoga with others. I feel very strongly that in this confused, chaotic time we all need to be able to find balance. Yoga gives us a way to feel a sense of well-being and teaches us to access inner peace, which creates that balance. It is also a wonderful way to have a healthy, strong, flexible body, allowing us to function better in our lives. Yoga has been a great gift in my life, and it is a joyful experience to share it with others.”
Shobha, a retired Software Engineer, has been practicing/teaching Yoga in the RTP since 1995. In the past, she has volunteered to teach at SV Temple Sunday School, children’s summer camps, health fairs, TOC Town of Morrisville, HSNC, Girl Scouts, and the Raleigh women's prison.
