Meet Walter Melon, the current mascot of Western Wake Farmers Market.
Walter is just a stand-up guy, a regular fella who loves locally sourced produce. He was born in 2009. Nobody truly knows whether he is seedless or not. Walter plays competitive squash in his free time at the local Y, and pickles his rinds when he gets stressed out. He also volunteers as an EMT (Emergency Melon Tech) with the local fire department, so you may see him if you have a heart attack.
There are rumors that Walter Melon and the Red and Green Lantern, Morrisville’s mysterious vigilante, are actually the same person, but conclusive evidence of this has yet to be brought before the WWFM Board.
More on the Red and Green Lantern:
The Red and Green Lantern works tirelessly to ensure his community remains free of violence and produce reselling. He uses his melon-ray vision to detect Harris Teeter veggies at farmer stands, and his obscene sugar content to induce cavities in those who stray from justice. Among the MCU pantheon (Morrisville-Carpenter Universe), the Red and Green Lantern is unique in that he was grown using sustainable, small-scale farming techniques. This is why his skin is free of blemishes even though he rarely uses moisturizer.
